Stash Privacy Policy
Effective June 24, 2026
Overview
Stash: Inventory Tracker helps you keep a private inventory of items, collections, photos, purchase details, resale values, and notes. The app is designed to keep your information on your device and, when enabled, in your private iCloud account.
Stash does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or tracking technologies.
Information You Add
You may add item names, categories, rooms, locations, purchase information, resale information, serial or model numbers, notes, and photos. This information is stored locally on your device using Apple's app storage technologies.
If iCloud sync is available and enabled for Stash, this information may sync through Apple's iCloud and CloudKit services to your own iCloud account so it can stay available across your devices. The developer does not operate a server for your inventory data and cannot access your private iCloud database.
Photos and Camera
Stash asks for access to your photo library when you choose to attach photos to items or collections. Stash asks for camera access when you choose to scan a barcode. Photos you select are stored with your Stash data and may sync through iCloud if iCloud sync is enabled.
Barcode Lookups
When you scan a barcode and request item details, Stash may send the barcode value to a product lookup service, currently UPCitemdb, to retrieve product information. Do not use barcode lookup for items if you do not want the barcode value sent to that service.
Purchases
Stash Pro purchases are handled by Apple's App Store and StoreKit. Apple processes payments and purchase history. Stash receives only the purchase entitlement needed to unlock app features; it does not receive your payment card details.
Tracking and Advertising
Stash does not track you across apps or websites, does not show third-party ads, and does not sell your data.
Data Export and Deletion
You control the information you add to Stash. You can edit or delete items and collections in the app. You can also remove the app from your device. iCloud-synced data may remain in iCloud according to Apple's iCloud settings and retention behavior unless removed from the app or iCloud.
Children's Privacy
Stash is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
This policy may be updated when Stash changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
